Chad Hurley, YouTube co-founder, due to speak at the DWS tonight
The fourth event in the successful Dublin Web Summit series has commenced in the Chartered Accountants House, Dublin. This summit spans across two days (October 28th-29th, 2010) with around 50 speakers confirmed for the event. The most influential of whom are YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, Twitter chairman and co-founder Jack Dorsey, and Skype founder Niklas Zennstrom.
According to the DWS it is an event which aims to “bring together not just Irish start ups but the entire tech eco-system in Ireland”. The series has grew rapidly since its first meeting in late 2009, with subsequent summits now attracting over 1000 attendees at each event. Previous DWS speakers have included the founders of Bebo, Wikipedia, Craigslist, InCase, DFJ, and WordPress.
“Their ideas, products, investments and services have had a truly global impact, and hopefully their stories have helped inspire and inform entrepreneurs, investors and professionals in Ireland.”
